The graveyard (LA014-016002-) is surrounded by a circular hedge enclosure (O'Hanlon and O'Leary 1907, vol. 1, 191-194). The earthen enclosure (W. c. 2.5m, Int. H. c. 0.7m, Ext. H. c. 1.1m; diam. ext. 72.5m) remains in the South and West only. Elsewhere enclosed by modern wall elsewhere. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
