Marked as a small feature (diam. c. 20m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a slight E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 17m NE-SW; 16.9m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 3-3.3m; Wth of top 0.8-1.1m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 0.4-0.6m) which is missing WNW-NNW. There is no visible fosse, but the entrance (Wth 0.9m) is at N and bedrock protrudes through the sod at the centre. It is overlain by a NE-SW drystone field wall towards the perimeter at SE.
