What is recorded here

In gently undulating pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Monument, depicted as circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been truncated by farm passage on NW side. Baulk of earth, bulldozed to make passageway, has been pushed back c. 6m over area of enclosure. A slurry pit borders passage on N side. Surviving sub-circular area (28m SW-NE) is defined by scarped edge (H 0.5m; Wth 0.8m) NNE->W. Scarp is stone-faced in manner of surrounding field boundaries. Interior has uneven surface covered by nettles and thistles. A marshy area adjoins base of scarp along SW arc. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011
