In hollow, built against natural slope. Front (H 6m; Wth 5.6m) S-facing; arched recess (H 2.55m; Wth 2.6m; D 2m), wooden lintel, with plaster infilling above, sloping slabs to rear, stoking-hole evident. Top of kiln enclosed by stone wall (H 1.75m); rear and top of kiln very overgrown. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
