
What is recorded here
On top of a natural hillock in undulating countryside with good extensive views in all directions. A slightly raised circular area (diam. 33.5m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 0.8-1.7m; base Wth 1.2-2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.4m) reduced to a scarp in places and an external fosse (Wth 2.2m; ext. D 0.8m) best preserved from W through N to E. A gap (Wth 2.2m) in the bank at WSW is of possible modern date, with a possible entrance gap (Wth 1.5m) at the E.
