Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Situated on the NNW-facing slope of a fairly steep hill. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 21m N-S; 21.8m E-W) defined by a bank (Wth 3m; H 1m) which survives best upslope to the S and is destroyed at N. No visible trace of a fosse or entrance feature. A limekiln is located immediately SE of the bank, with a large manure dump on top of and beside the kiln. This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
