What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Kilmore (athlone North By., Athleague East Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. The 1837 Ordnance Survey map marked it as a D-shaped enclosure on the crest of a limestone ridge, though pasture now hides it from ground view. Another rath stands eighty metres to the east-southeast.
Marked only on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped enclosure (dims c. 55m NW-SE; c. 45m NE-SW), and situated on the crest of the SW-facing slope of a NW-SE limestone ridge. It is not visible at ground level in pasture. Rath (RO044-015----) is c. 80m to the ESE.
