What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Kilmore (athlone North By., Athleague East Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. A second rath is recorded 70m to the WNW. The site is a grass-covered circle about 32m across on the SW-facing slope of a NW-SE ridge. A gapped earthen bank, 3.5 to 4.8m wide and 0.45 to 1.3m high, still marks most of the perimeter.

On the SW-facing slope of a NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 32.2m NE-SW; 32m NW-SE) defined by a gapped earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 3.5-4.8m; int. H 0.45-0.8m; ext. H 1.1-1.3m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance but the perimeter is truncated slightly at W by a NNE-SSW field wall. Rath (RO044-015----) is c. 70m to the WNW.
