What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Killeglan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a circular enclosure about 40m wide on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map and occupies a northwest-southeast ridge. A grass-covered area 30m across remains, bounded partly by a shallow fosse and partly by a curved field boundary.
Marked as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 30m) defined by the slight remains of a grass-covered fosse (Wth of top 4.5m; D 0.3m) NNW-NNE, and as a curve in a field boundary ENE-S.
