Kilberry bawn still stands beside its gatehouse in County Kildare, though much of its boundary has vanished into later farm walls or been levelled away. The surviving limestone sections rise about three and a half metres on the east side, angular and unfinished-looking, as if the bawn refused to be fully domesticated. What is missing is not empty; it has been reused, buried or forgotten. A person walking past the gatehouse today would be stepping through the same boundary that once shaped the life of the place.

Running to S and W of a gatehouse (KD030-007----). Only intermittent sections of a rubble limestone wall with a very slight base batter (H 3.5m along E) survive. Portions may be incorporated into later farm building along the S and have been levelled along the W. The original extent of the bawn is no longer clearly traceable at ground level.
