What is recorded here

Indicated is a faded ringfort on a Galway hummock, its circular edge blurred by quarries and field banks rather than lost to time. The earth still holds a ghost of a boundary, inviting imagination to complete what erosion removed. A second fort waits three hundred metres away, suggesting a small cluster of lives instead of a lonely marker. Together they turn an ordinary grassland into a place where human hands shaped the horizon before memory faded.

On a hummock in gently undulating grassland. Poorly preserved almost circular rath (E-W 39m, N-S 38m) defined by a bank and external fosse from NNW through E to SE. Elsewhere a quarried-out scarp forms the enclosing element. Possible outer bank survives from N through E to SE. A field bank overlies the enclosing elements from SE through S to SW.
