Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

In pasture, located on a slight rise bordered to SE–S by an expanse of rough, rush-grown pasture and bog. There are good, but not extensive, views over rolling terrain. Very slightly raised, circular area (diam. c. 25-30m) defined at NE–S by a bank (W 2.7m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 1.45m at S) with an external fosse (Wth 2.3m). The bank survives as a dilapidated, overgrowth-covered rise of earth and stone. The fosse is evident as a shallow depression. At S–SW the bank has been incorporated into a later stone-faced field fence, engulfed in hawthorn and brambles, and no trace of the fosse is visible here. At SW–N the enclosing elements have been levelled and the curve of the enclosure can be traced only as a slight undulation. The interior is grassy, level and featureless.
