In rough heather and gorse-covered grazing, on a stony W-facing slope with a view W across a valley towards Mullaghmesha. The remains of several intermittent stretches of relict stone field boundaries (T 1.6m; H 0.6m) extending over a roughly rectangular area (c. 100m NE-SW; c. 70m NW-SE). The best preserved section of relict boundaries comprises a roughly D-shaped enclosed area (dims. 70m NW-SE) with a straight NW side (L 50m). This area is indicated on the OS 6-inch map. The thin stony ground indicates that turf-cutters have exposed many of the relict walls in the area in the past. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
