What is recorded here

On a terrace on a hillslope, in rolling grassland. There are good views from the monument. It is depicted on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly D-shaped enclosure (dims. c. 42m N-S; c. 32m E-W), with the townland boundary curving around to respect the N quadrant. On the 1900 revision it is a similar shape but is not hachured and the depiction of marsh within the interior suggests it was quite waterlogged. The enclosure was levelled during land reclamation. It is not visible at ground level. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 5 February 2018
