Immediately S of farmbuildings on demesne lands of the 18th century Fort Etna House, located 70m to N. Depicted on the 1840 0S 6-inch map as a grove of trees adjacent to the formal gardens of the house. On this map it is shown as a roughly rectangular-shaped area indicated by a dotted line. Depicted as a semi-circular-shaped earthwork (approx. diam. 26m) on the OS 25-inch map where it is defined by a raised scarp from E through S to N. This map depicts a structure located to immediate N. Digital Globe imagery taken 2011-2013 indicate farm buildings to the N and E with no surface remains visible. Possible landscape feature associated with Fort Etna House.
