In undulating pastureland, formerly part of the demesne of Eastwell House, the site of which lies 200m to NW. Marked but not named on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as an irregularly shaped hachured enclosure. What is visible is a very poorly preserved roughly oval enclosure (N-S c. 65m, E-W 50m), now badly overgrown, enclosed by a stone wall and entered via an arched gateway at NW. In the interior is a burial vault beside which is an elaborately decorated stone cross commemorating 'Christopher Ussher' who died in 1884. II - North Galway'.
