The fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Dundrum is in County Tipperary, Ireland. A tertiary road cuts across the north half of the semi-circular site, leaving a 26-metre west-northwest to east-southeast section where an earthen bank and outer ditch remain visible in the horse-grazed meadow. The bank stands 0.8 metres high externally and 3.65 metres wide, while the ditch reaches 0.45 metres deep and 5.25 metres wide overall. Levelled remains of the missing north half may exist beneath the roadway surface.
In level meadow (grazed by horses) and truncated by existing tertiary road across N-half. Semi-circular area (dims. 26m WNW-ESE; 10m NNE-SSW) defined by remains of earthen bank (int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.8m; Wth at top 1.15m; total Wth 3.65m) and outer fosse (basal Wth 1.7m; overall Wth 5.25m; Dth 0.45m) ESE-WNW and truncated by road across N-half. Levelled remains of N-half may exist under the roadway (b. post-1903-4). Fosse is backfilled at ESE beside gate entrance to field and is waterlogged SE-SW. Interior surface is disturbed by livestock and machinery. Depicted on latest edition OS 6-inch map as an oval area (dims. c. 30mWNW-ESE; c. 25m NNE-SSE) truncated by field boundary (long-axis WNW-ESE) through centre.
