LisduffFairy fort / earthen ringfort · 1014 yd

Explorer Tom This one sits on a drumlin crest, looking down its nose at the road leading to it. It thinks the traffic is rude for honking so loudly. Stop the car, turn off the engine, and let it have a word with you.

Drumsna National SchoolSchool · 1750 yd

Explorer Tom Drumsna National School has a bird that refuses to leave the roof no matter how hard you shoo it. The slate tiles remember every lesson taught inside, even if the chalkboard is long gone. Bring curiosity, leave with a grin.

Declaration of IndependenceMemorial · 1.3 mi

Explorer Tom The Declaration of Independence memorial has a shortcut that isn't actually a shortcut because it just goes around in a circle, which is very poetic if you think about it too hard. Don’t overthink it though. Take a mate and argue about what it was for.

Catholic Church of the Immaculate ConceptionChurch/chapel · 1.4 mi

Explorer Tom Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception would ace any job interview because it sits on top of that hill looking incredibly important. The stained glass is basically its LinkedIn profile, glowing with religious confidence and architectural flair. Find the wonkiest bit of that elevated view for a photo.

Robert Strawbridge MemorialMemorial · 1.4 mi

Explorer Tom Robert Strawbridge Memorial is where the Vikings got lost and ended up building a very confusing fence. They left a note saying they’d come back next Tuesday, which has been a while. Bring the dog, it'll have opinions.

Wildlife AreaNature reserve · 1.7 mi

Explorer Tom Wildlife Area in Leitrim is having a massive row with the next village over a missing goose. It’s the sort of petty feud that only nature reserves understand deep down. Bring a map, get lost anyway, that's the fun.

CastlecarraCastle, unclassified · 3.3 mi

Explorer Tom Castlecarra in Aghancarra is basically a rumour that got a map label. Two lads bet a pint it was red brick, and they lost badly because it’s just dirt now. Bring a coin for luck and keep it in your pocket.

Site of Dangan CastleCastle, unclassified · 3.9 mi

Explorer Tom Site of Dangan Castle wants its tombstone to say 'He Was A Stronghold And Also A Bit Of A Mess', which is very accurate. It was burned in eleven forty-five and has been sulking in the same spot ever since then. Perfect place to be dramatically windswept.

Leabaidh DermotCave · 4.0 mi

Explorer Tom Leabaidh Dermot is a cave named after a guy, which is what happens when you can't think of anything better to name it. I bet the mother-in-law who designed it had very specific rules about who could sleep in it. Have a chat with it, nobody's watching.

Moon RiverHeritage attraction · 4.4 mi

Explorer Tom Moon River has an absolute banger of a song that it hums to itself all day long. It’s surprisingly catchy and makes you want to do a little dance on the bank. Pretend it's yours and plan the housewarming.

Shannon-Erne WaterwayVisitor information · 4.7 mi

Explorer Tom The Shannon-Erne Waterway was the result of a bad bet between two kings who couldn't agree on which river was more important, so they just dug through everything to prove a point. It’s a canal that feels like it’s still waiting for an apology. Tell it a joke, it's been a long time since anyone did.

Finn McCool's MonumentArchaeological place · 4.9 mi

Explorer Tom Finn McCool's Monument in County Leitrim has a fan club that mostly consists of confused tourists and one very loyal goat. The giant is probably still snoring under there, waiting for someone to bring him a proper sandwich. Keep your voice down so you don't wake the legend.
