In pasture, at the top of a NW-facing slope, to the rear of Curragh Lodge. An arc (C c. 38m) of earthen bank (Wth 7.65m; max. int. H 2m; max. ext. H 2.4m) SE-NW is the remains of a rath. According to local information, the bank along the N arc was pushed into the N sector of the interior during the construction of a farm shed immediately to the N. A large mound of earth now occupies the N sector of the interior. Farm buildings indicated on both the 1846 and 1894 OS 6-inch maps overlie the bank and interior at NE and E. Partial levelling of the top of the remaining bank occurs along the SSE and WNW arcs and material from the bank at SSE is piled up in the SE quadrant. Some material from the bank W-NW lies in a mound (H c. 0.5m) outside the bank at NW. There is a Man-made underground passage (KE058-089001-) in the N sector.
