Under a low mound in the northern quadrant of a Curragh rath, a man-made chamber waited beneath a perforated millstone. When the stone lifted, clay pipes glinted in the dark, then someone returned them and replaced the cover. The passage vanished again, leaving only a slight rise in the grass and a promise that the ground still keeps its own counsel.

In a rath (KE058-089----). According to the landowner, a mound in the N quadrant of the rath marks the location of a Man-made underground passage. This Man-made underground passage was covered by a millstone with a perforated centre and when it was removed some clay pipes were found in the chamber. These were subsequently returned to the Man-made underground passage and the millstone was replaced. There are no visible remains of this Man-made underground passage.
