What is recorded here

Indicated was a circular fairy fort about forty metres across, lost when men levelled the ground for farms in the 1960s. It vanished without ceremony, perhaps because the land wanted back what it had held. Forgetting is not the same as destroying; the shape may still exist beneath the soil, waiting for someone to stop measuring and begin listening.

Some 100m SSW of an earthwork (GA058-052----). Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1932) as a circular enclosure (D c. 40m). The site was levelled in the mid-1960s during land reclamation and no visible surface trace survives.
