What is recorded here

Indicated is a small rectangular crannog floating forty metres from the Cavan shoreline, visible only after decades of human life vanished from the water. It resists easy belief because the lake gave up its markers before modern instruments arrived. What remains is a shape sturdy enough to carry rooms, gardens or temples, yet quiet enough to disappear when nobody remembers it.
