What is recorded here

Indicated is a small irregular crannog in Lough Sheelin, County Cavan, lying about 150m from the shoreline with a second island 30m to the east. It resisted mapping on the 1836 and 1876 surveys, as if the lake kept one tiny address to itself. People may have stood there in reeds and rain, tying boats to hidden stakes and leaving bread crumbs for the herons. The water still holds that much of the story: a place small enough to overlook, yet distinct enough to remember.
