Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cartron (ballymoe By., Rosmoylan Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the crest of a NE-facing slope on a NNW-SSE ridge. A grass-covered circular area measuring 26.3m across is bounded by an earthen bank 4.8-6.5m wide and 0.1-0.8m high. A 3m entrance faces east, while a possible ringfort lies 170m to the NNE.
At the crest of the NE-facing slope of a NNW-SSE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 26.3m N-S; 26.3m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.8-6.5m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.5-0.8m). The entrance (Wth 3m) is at E, but there is no visible fosse. The possible ringfort (RO038-012----) is c. 170m to the NNE.
