What is recorded here

indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrowmore (boyle By., Rockingham Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a low rise at the bottom of the south-facing slope of an east-west ridge. A gapped earthen bank surrounds a circular grass-covered area, while internal facing stones appear along the north-west to north-east edge and an outer berm extends along the south-east. No recognisable entrance breaks the surrounding earthworks.

On a low rise at the bottom of the S-facing slope of an E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 29.5m E-W; 29m, N-S) defined by a gapped earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 2.4m at E to 4.65m at S; int. H 0.15-0.45m; ext. H 0.9m at E to 1.4m at S), which has internal facing stones NW-NE, and an outer berm (Wth 8.8-10.3m) defined by a scarp (H 0.1-0.3m) S-E. There is no recognisable entrance.
