Marked as a circular enclosed wood (diam. c. 70m) on the 1837 and 1915 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle NW-facing slope of Yew Point peninsula (dims c. 2.5 km NNE-SSW; c. 350-600m WNW-ESE). This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 71m E-W; 67m N-S) defined by the widely-spread remains of an earthen bank (Wth c. 7-8m; max. H c. 0.2m) with a single tree on the perimeter at W. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance.
