In pasture, on E-facing slope. Depicted as hachured square enclosure (c. 35m N-S; c. 35m E-W) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; as square field with double fence at Nside on 1904 and 1935 OS 6-inch maps. Square area (31m N-S; 31m E-W) enclosed by low grass-covered rise (H 0.3m) to E and S, with slight external depression; heavily overgrown earthen, stone-faced, bank (H 1.3m) to W and N. Bank to W and N incorporated into field fence system. Immediately outside N bank is second bank (H 0.5m) with external fosse; fosse infilled with rocks and stones. Area between inner and outer bank (Wth 3.2m) planted with coniferous trees. Interior under pasture. According to local information, bank to E and S levelled c. 1977.
