What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthen ringfort in County Cork pasture, preserving an eight-metre hut foundation and a protruding bullaun stone within its broken bank. It sits above a sharp fall in slope, exposing the small domestic heart of a place now reduced to grass, soil and memory. The gaps in its boundary suggest occupation, adaptation or forgetting rather than finished design.

In pasture, on gentle SW-facing slope, above sharp fall in slope. Circular, slightly raised area (28m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.8m). Gaps in bank to N and W; entrance (Wth 4m) to S. Interior slopes gently down to S; foundations of circular hut site (8m N-S; 8m E-W) in E half. Bullaun stone (CO058-027002-) protrudes from S side of hut site. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
