Inside the bank of a rath in Thomastown, a circular grass-covered ridge rises fourteen metres across, its shallow scarp marking the ghost of a hut almost conjoined to another dwelling. The site preserves the shape of domestic life within a defensive earthwork, suggesting people built and lived where they could also retreat.

Situated inside the bank of rath (ME015-050----) at NE is a raised circular grass-covered area (diam. of top 14m) defined by a scarp (H 0.4-0.8m). It is almost conjoined with the hut-site (ME015-050002-) to the SW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 9 January, 2019
