What is recorded here
Clearing the platform may have required breaking the fort's own rules, yet the completed chamber stood twelve metres long inside the defences. The south bank still holds a gap at its east end, pointing toward the entrance where light and danger both entered. A person may have watched that doorway for years, certain the larger fort existed to serve the small chamber rather than the chamber serving the fort.
Sub-rectangular hut platform (max. dims. 12m N-S, 11m E-W) in centre of ringfort (LH003-022001-), defined by slight bank (H 0.7m) with entrance gap at E end of S side.
