What is recorded here

Lackaroe holds a circular hut forty-five centimetres high, its stones hidden beneath heather except where they poke through like broken teeth. The wall measures sixty centimetres thick and joins another dwelling to the east, suggesting a small cluster rather than a lonely shelter. A cairn stands seventy metres to the northeast, watching the huts and marking the area as a place where people lived, loved and disappeared into the green silence.

Within an enclosure (KE093-083003-), c. 30m S of the N arc. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 4.5m) defined by an indistinct wall (T c. 0.6m; H c. 0.2m) consisting of stones which intermittently protrude from the heather. There is an adjoining hut site (KE093-083001-) to the E. A cairn (KE093-083002-) is c. 70m to the NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
