Hut site in Killabunane

In rough hill pasture, on an E-facing slope, in the valley of the Feabunaun stream. The remains of a rectangular hut site (5m N-S; 2.2m E-W) defined by a roughly constructed and partially collapsed drystone wall (T 0.9m; H 0.7m) on the N and E sides, by a stone wall (T 0.9m; H 1.05m) on top of an earthen bank on the S side and by the linear face of outcropping rock (H c. 4m) on the W side. The entrance (Wth 0.55m) is at N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
