What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on a SE-facing slope of Barraduff Mountain. The partially collapsed remains of a limekiln, rectangular in plan (3.9m SW-NE; 3.5m NW-SE). Front faces SE and rear has been cut into upslope. Surviving façade (H c. 1m) is built of large slab-like stones without the use of mortar. Lintelled recess (H 0.75m; Wth 0.6m; D 1.2m) with rectangular ope (H 0.15m; Wth 0.45m) at base of rear. Circular stone-lined funnel (diam. 1.4m) partly filled with collapsed material.
