What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, near the N edge of a col, on a ridge to the E of Derrynacaheragh Hill and within a network of pre-bog field boundaries (KE102-063001-). A kidney-shaped grass-covered mound (7m N-S; 6.6m E-W; H 0.55m) of burnt material on the SE bank of a stream. The opening (1.6m N-S) faces W. Mound material is exposed at NW where it is being eroded by a stream and there are large stones on top of the mound. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
