Hut site in Gearhanagoul

In rough hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, in the valley of Coomeelan stream. The remains of an oval hut site (3m N-S; 2.3m E-W) defined by a partially collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.6m) which is best preserved SE-SW. The S portion of the interior is raised (H 0.2m) and the N portion is cut (D 0.2m) into the upslope to compensate for the hillslope. The interior is level. There is another hut site (KE103-024005-) c. 8m to the N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
