What is recorded here

In heather-clad, rough hill pasture, on a W-facing slope, overlooking a river valley. The remains of a D-shaped hut site (1.8m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.65m; H 0.4m) and by a straight W side (L 2.1m N-S), formed by a wall from a network of relict field boundaries (KE103-040001-). The W portion of the interior is raised (H 0.6m) and the E portion is cut (D 0.3m) into the upslope to compensate for the hillslope. The interior is level. There is another hut site (KE103-040002-) c. 35m to the N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
