Hut site in Crossterry West

In rough pasture, on bog, on a terrace on the NW side of a NE-facing sheltered hollow. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 4.8m) defined by a stone wall (T 1m; H 0.7m). The wall comprises traces of an inner and outer row of contiguous upright slabs SW-NW and elsewhere by low intermittent traces of a bank. The level interior is partially obscured by rushes. There is a hut site (CO104-036001-) 6m to the SE and another hut site (CO104-036003-) is c. 16m to the SE. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
