Terraced two-bay two-storey house, c.1900. Reroofed. One of a terrace of twenty. Pitched (shared) roof with replacement artificial slate, clay ridge tiles, replacement rendered (shared) chimney stacks, concrete coping, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves having iron ties. Rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed window openings with cut-stone sills, two-over-one (ground floor) and two-over-two (first floor) timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with padstones, and glazed timber panelled door having overlight. Interior with tongue-and-groove timber panelled reveals to window openings. Street fronted with concrete footpath to front.

An amiable small-scale house built as one of a terrace of twenty identical units (remainder in terrace not included in survey) making a beneficial impact in Upper William Street with the stepped roofline following the gradient or incline in the street. Having been well maintained, the house remains as the last to present an early aspect with the simple architectural attributes indicative of a local authority patronage surviving in place together with most of the original fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior, thus upholding some of the character or integrity of the collective ensemble in the street scene.
