House

House, 17th century

What is recorded here

On the Down Survey (1655-6) 'Parrish of Mothill' map, there is a depiction of a house with the annotation, 'A Stone House Thatcht with a Chimney'. The accompanying terrier records, 'at Lisnefinsin is a Thatcht Stone House' and the proprietor is given as, 'Robert Shee Ir[ish] pap[ist]'. The precise location of this house is unknown though the Down Survey map suggests a location just north of centre of the townland and close to its western boundary.
