Five houses in a cluster are marked on the Strattford / 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch composite map in NLI, situated around Carrowntemple church (RO044-043001-). They are in an area called Garhuard on the Strafford map of c. 1636 (Simington 1949, Athlone (392)). Not one of them was encountered. See (RO044-105----) and (RO044-106----).
