Three houses are marked on the Strafford / 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch composite map in NLI, situated around Carrowntemple church (RO044-043001-), but it is not named on the Strafford map of c. 1636 (Simington 1949, Athlone (295). They were not encountered. See (RO044-104----) and (RO044-106----).
