What is recorded here

According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in 1640 there was a 'ruined slatehouse' in 'Ballynaclohy' and 'Barnaby Earle of Thomond' is listed as the proprietor (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 8). The present Ballinaclogh House is a late 19th or 20th century house, three-bay, two-storey, one room deep, with a hipped roof and two central chimney stacks and ruined outbuildings to the rear.
