This townland is identified on the Strafford map of c. 1636 (Simington 1949, Athlone (344)) as is Carrigmore with a house or castle between the two. Carrigmore is a small current townland just S of Attiknockan and really Carrigbeg, Attiknockan, Errick Beg, Errick More, and Cuillawinnia cover the territory marked on the Strafford map.
