Attached five-bay two-storey house with integral pedestrian way, built c. 1820, now also in use as shop and having timber shopfront to ground floor of front elevation, east-most bay of ground floor now part of building to east. Hipped and pitched slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods, render eaves course and red brick chimneystack. Painted rendered walls with render quoins to east bay of ground floor. Square-headed window openings having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows and concrete sills, window to ground floor having cast-iron railings. Round-headed door opening serving upper floor, flanked by fluted Ionic-style engaged timber columns, moulded timber archivolt and architrave, fanlight, and timber panelled door. Square-headed opening with timber battened door to pedestrian laneway. Shopfront comprising partly fluted timber pilasters supporting timber fascia and moulded cornice. Square-headed plate-glass display windows with panelled timber risers, moulded timber sills and surrounds incorporating timber colonnettes with ornate capitals, and with carved spandrel details to corners of windows. Recessed square-headed shop door opening with recessed timber panelled door and overlight.

This modestly sized building retains notable features such as timber sliding sash windows and cast-iron rainwater goods. The well preserved round-headed doorcase is unusual on the streetscape and lends the façade an air of grandeur. The shopfront is similarly well constructed, of an unusual variety, and the ornate surrounds to the display windows add significantly to the streetscape.
