Excavated in advance of the construction of the M1 Dundalk Western Bypass (Excavation Licence No. 03E0114). An arc of seven post-holes may have formed a circular structure (diam. c. 5m) with two central post-holes. Two shallow, curvilinear trenches were uncovered around the structure. Twelve additional pits were also recorded, one of which contained evidence of in situ burning. Finds included 276 sherds of prehistoric pottery two Neolithic flint blades.
