Freestanding three-bay two-storey house, built c.1940, having paired canted bay windows with linking porch canopy to front (south-east) and single-bay two-storey return to rear (north-west). Hipped slate roofs having pitched slate roof to return with rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rain water goods. Hipped lean-to slate roof to canopy. Rendered walls with plinth, having roughcast rendered wall and rendered sill band to first floor of front (south-east) elevation. Square-headed window openings with render sills throughout, having raised rendered surrounds to first floor of front elevation. One-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows in single and bipartite arrangements. Square-headed door opening with replacement timber panelled door and overlight to front elevation, flanked by fixed timber-framed sidelights. Square-headed door openings with rendered stepped approaches to rear and side (south-west) elevation, having timber battened doors. Located within own grounds with U-plan farmyard to north-west. Rusticated concrete block enclosing wall and piers with render block coping and double-leaf wrought-iron gates.
A handsome house situated in an elevated position which makes a notable contribution to the surrounding area . Its symmetrical facade with its crisp lines is greatly enlivened by the paired canted bays, shared canopy and bipartite sash windows. The retention of simple artistic details such as the raised render surrounds that frame the first floor windows, rendered sill band and the contrast formed between the smooth render and roughcast rendered walls, further enhance the house. The older farm buildings add to its setting and context.
