Detached five-bay two-storey house, built c.1820, formerly in use as parochial house, now in use as private house. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings with eight-over-eight pane timber sliding sash windows. Round-headed door opening with timber doorcase, timber panelled door, flanking sidelights and spoked fanlight. Rendered entrance sweep and piers with cast-iron double leaf gates.
An imposing early nineteenth century house which retains much of its historic character and charm intact. Built in the then fashionable classical style, its hipped roof, regular fenestration rhythm and fine central doorcase are typical features of its time. It was in use as a parochial house for a time, and once formed part of a group with the now ruined Roman Catholic church to the south-west of the site.
