Freestanding memorial, erected c.1950, comprising carved limestone Celtic Revival high cross with interlacing strapwork and figure of solider in relief to shaft. Set on square-plan pedestal, having inscriptions in Irish and English.

A sombre memorial to local men Denis Creedon, John O'Brien and William Healy who died during the Civil War. It forms part of a group with the other memorial found throughout the county, commemorating the sacrifices of local people during a troubled period of Irish history. The Celtic high cross was often the favoured motif for these monuments, as it was associated with traditional Irish identity. Occupying a prominent site in the village, it is an eye-catching roadside feature.
