What is recorded here
Pair of terraced two-bay four-storey former houses, built c. 1850, now in use as single retail outlet. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystack and rendered parapet. Rendered walls with continuous label mouldings, c. 1900, over upper floor openings. Timber sash windows to upper floors. Shopfront, c. 1970, with fixed windows and glazed doors having fascia above.
This former pair of houses makes a notable and positive addition to the streetscape, due to the scale and form of the buildings. Though now altered to the ground floor, the upper levels retain many interesting features and materials, such as the slate roof, timber sash windows and label mouldings.
