Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1910, having full-height canted bays flanking entrance to front (south-west), four-bay side elevations and two-storey lean-to to rear (north-east). Hipped slate roof with timber clad eaves, rendered chimneystack and uPVC rainwater goods, having terracotta finials to canted bays. Rendered walls throughout, having raised render sill bands to first floor and tooled limestone sill courses to ground and first floors of canted bays. Square-headed window openings with render sills throughout having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening having segmental-headed render surround with render keystone to front elevation, having decorative render motifs to lintel. Timber panelled door with sidelights and margined overlight. Render steps leading to flight of cut limestone garden steps. Set within own grounds, with lined-and-ruled entrance sweep walls having square-profile piers and wrought-iron gates.
Built in the first decade of the twentieth century, this fine house is an interesting addition to the local architectural heritage, which is made up of predominantly nineteenth century structures. Its canted-bays, timber sliding sash windows and render detailing are interesting features, typical of its time. Sited on an elevated site within mature gardens it is a notable feature in the landscape.
